eWatches News: LVMH Announces New Focus on Women’s Designer Watches

It’s an exciting day for women’s watches!  In an industry known to be traditionally focused on men’s watches, today, luxury watch, fashion and jewelry manufacturer, LVMH, which is famous for having designer watch labels like Tag Heuer, Dior and Zenith under its parentage, announced that they will strengthen their focus on women’s watches–bringing a larger range of watches for women and also bringing on a new Hollywood starlet as brand ambassador for their collection of women’s watches.
While luxury watches and jewelry are a covetable item for many women, the watch industry is traditionally a men’s-watch focused arena.  This is therefore an interesting move for LVMH, who knows that 70% of their watch sales are men’s watches.  What can we deduce from this move by LVMH?  An increasing number of women are wanting brand name watches.
